Distributed Garage Band !

Back when RoadRunner was only pumping put 2 Mbps to us residential customers, a friend of mine and I played music over Instant Messenger, via voice. It was a blast, and we even managed to create feedback.  So I was just wondering if you could network several machines using GarageBand, and not only play, but record and mix with professional quality.  Imagine your bass player is in Amsterdam, your drummer is in Melbourne, Your guitar player is in Austin, and you singer is visiting his sister in Seattle, to see his new nephew of course, Thank God he remembered to bring along his favorite mic.  That’s a pretty big gig !
