public Content Distribution Networks

A lot of companies use services of Content Distribution Network providers, such as Akamai.  Projects with limited budgets but great content (such as the Fedora Project, a Linux distribution) could leverage their userbase’s Gig connections to serve that content at low cost.  http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/Mirroring
